iVivity, a leading technology provider of chip, board and integrated software solutions for the storage networking systems market, was voted as the company with the leading Breakthrough Technology from the Top 10 most innovative companies presenting at the Georgia Technology Summit: Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
iVivity was selected for the Breakthrough Technology award by a distinguished selection committee made up of leaders who have played an integral role in the emergence of Georgia as the Southeast's technology hub as well as a vote by the Summit's 700 attendees.
The Top 40 Innovators were chosen on the basis of four key criteria: the companies' degree of innovation; their potential for success; their potential impact on the State's economy; and their overall contribution to the promotion of Georgia as a state of innovation, both nationally and internationally.
"iVivity is honored to be recognized for its technical innovation and potential for success," said David Coombs, CEO and president. "We view this award as a testament to the caliber of our team and the acceptance of our vision by our peers."
"While semiconductor development is rare outside Silicon Valley, we chose to build our company in Georgia and we have realized numerous business advantages as a result," said Zulfiqar Qazilbash, co-founder and chief strategy officer. "We've also contributed to the growth of the technology community in Georgia -- employing 60 highly skilled professionals as well as spawning four complementary companies in the four years since we were founded."
