April 19, 2004
The contest was developed by Commonwealth Capital and Network World with the intention of reaching seasoned IT professionals. Unlike most entrepreneurship competitions which are rooted in academia, this contest will reach out directly to professionals that have firsthand knowledge of the need for new products and services.
The winner will receive $30,000 in cash and services sponsored by Qwest Communications, famaPR, and the law firm of Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP.
Entrants will have four weeks to work up their ideas for submission by May 17 to a panel of seven judges. Judges include senior representatives from Commonwealth Capital, North Bridge Venture Partners, Sigma Partners, GoldWire Technology, Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP, and Network World.
