Books24x7 Inks Deal With Global Knowledge

Books24x7, the leading provider of referenceware solutions, today announced a partnership with Global Knowledge, Inc. (, the world’s largest independent provider of integrated IT education solutions. The partnership will enable Global Knowledge to enhance and expand its education support offerings through the Books24x7 "referenceware" technology platform and aggregated content from leading IT reference publishers. The industry’s leading aggregator of subscription-based IT and business reference content, Books24x7 will create customized, online reference collections to be offered by Global Knowledge to learners.

The Books24x7 reference collections platform enables students to browse, search, annotate and collaborate with peers using the online library as needed and then seamlessly return to their course. With access to best-in-class content from more than 65 leading technical and business publishers, Books24x7’s flexible XML-based referenceware platform also provides Global Knowledge with a host of advanced capabilities, including the ability to enable trainers and instructional designers to link relevant online reference content with courseware and exams.

Global Knowledge will offer a customized online reference library, powered by Books24x7, which currently consists of approximately 1,100 books, journals and research reports for IT professionals. The customized library, which is available at, is now available at $299 per user per year.

In addition, Global Knowledge will bundle a one-year subscription to an entire Web-based library of leading Cisco-related reference content, also powered by Books24x7, for learners who purchase Cisco Boot Camps and Cisco Certification courses. Learners who purchase a single Cisco course will receive a 90-day subscription to the Cisco reference library. Global Knowledge is the largest provider of Cisco-certified training courses in the world.

Global Knowledge’s introduction of the Books24x7 referenceware adds an important learning support tool to the company’s Blended Learning Solutions™, a recently announced initiative that provides corporations with unparalleled flexibility in the design and delivery of IT training programs.
