Expressor software, the leader in semantic data integration, today announced that it has secured $10 million in a second round of funding. The investment was led by Commonwealth Capital Ventures, the early and growth stage venture capital firm that has invested in roughly 140 high-growth companies, many of which are leaders in their respective industry categories. Globespan Capital Partners and Sigma Partners, two other premier venture capital firms and expressor’s existing investors, also participated in this Series B financing.
The funding will enable expressor software to further advance its innovative next-generation data integration platform and to rapidly expand marketing, sales, business development and product support. This announcement follows expressor software’s recent news regarding the appointment of two industry veterans to its senior management team in preparation for its next phase of growth.
Justin Perreault, general partner at Commonwealth, commented, “We see a huge opportunity for expressor software to reshape the competitive landscape in the data integration market. We believe that expressor has developed a highly innovative and differentiated software solution that can add tremendous value for large as well as midsize companies. Moreover, we are very impressed by the company’s highly experienced and seasoned senior management team, which made it even more compelling for us to lead this funding round.”
Justin Perreault has also been appointed to the expressor software board of directors
"Data integration is too expensive and difficult to use and today’s products have difficulty coping with the complexity and exponentially growing volumes of data in G2000 enterprises,” said Bob Potter, CEO of expressor software. “This is why we have developed an innovative, next generation data integration platform that is easy-to-use, high-performing, and extremely affordable versus current solutions. This round of financing will enable us to aggressively invest in our product and go-to-market strategies and plans, and is a testimony to the confidence our investors have in our company and market opportunity.”
